(Tarangire, Serengeti, Lake Manyara& Ngorongoro Crater)

6 days safari is the best way to experience the best parks of Tanzania. This is prepared in order to suit the needs of our clients to visit all big National Parks and experience some of the world wonders and the amazing wildlife. Visiting to Tarangire, Serengeti National Park, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro Crater offers the best package of wildlife viewing experience for 6 days.

Day 1 Tarangire National Park

Meals: lunch and dinner included

You will be picked up at your hotel in Moshi/Arusha and will be driven to Tarangine National Park via Arusha. The drive will be approzimately 4-5 hours so sit back relax and get to know your Nafika Tours guide. Once arrived, you will spend 4-5 hours driving within the park, that is famous in having a big number of elephants and huge scattered baobab trees. Other mammals like giraffes, antelopes, lions and cheetahs can be seen here but it’s not a guarantee. Lunch is provided during the day, but a word of wisdom although the local vervet monkeys may look cute they are mischieveious especially when it comes to food, so hold on to yours tightly. At roughly 04:00 pm we will leave the park and drive to Haven Nature Safari Camp for your dinner and to spend your first night.

Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner included

Kicking off Day 2 of your safari is another early start as at roughly 7:00am we will pack up and head to the Serengeti National Park via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and passing by a traditional Maasai Boma along the way and get to see the ways of life of the Maasai people. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. We arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti national park.

Full day game drive

The early morning game drive takes you again into the protected Serengeti refuge. The breathtaking savannahs are a stunning backdrop to a diverse and abundant wildlife population throughout the entire year. On your return to the camp, a leisurely lunch and time to relax before setting out on the afternoon game drive. After dinner tonight, listen to the sounds of the wilderness and gaze at the changing colors of the African skies. Do the hyenas sound like you thought they would?

Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner included

After breakfast we will start our game viewing. Serengeti is huge (with 1400km², it is nearly the size of Northern Ireland) and we will see only a small part of it during our drive in the central Serengeti. Known as the heart of Serengeti National Park we can expect to see a huge diversity of animals, especially cats (Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs). After the game drive, we will enter into Ngorongoro Conservation area for dinner and overnight.  We suggest to have warm clothes and light gloves because it can get quite chilly and windy in the highlands.

Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner or brunch and dinner included

Another early morning start as you head to the Ngorongoro Crater – one of the new 7 Natural Wonders of Africa. Not only does the Ngorongoro Crater have some breathtaking scenery, it is also home to over 25,000 wild creatures; in particular you may be lucky to see the Big 5 here. Estimates suggest there are roughly 7,000 wildebeest, 4,000 zebras, 3,000 eland, 3,000 gazelles, 600 hyena, 200-300 elephants, over 60 lions, 30 rhinos, and many others in a small area, so I hope you camera is charged and ready to go. The crater itself is about 610m deep and 260 square kilometres giving us enough opportunities to try and catch sights on those favorite animals. Although overnights are not permitted inside of the crater we will set up camp very close to the crater rim. This is a cold location since there is some altitude (7,500 ft or 2286m) so be sure to pack some thermal pyjamas and even a knit cap and light gloves may feel welcome since it also tends to be windy.

Day 6: Lake Manyara National Park

Approx. time in park: 5 hours

Driving hours back to Moshi: 4 hours

Meals: breakfast and lunchincluded

The final day of the drive takes us to Lake Manyara, one of the smaller and underrated National Parks in Tanzania. It is an unspoiled paradise of ground water forest fed by underground springs and teeming with wildlife such as elephants, hippos, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and some of the largest baboon troops in Africa. The bird life is spectacular year-round, home to more than a hundred species of birds composed of all different feathers. Whilst sitting or standing in your vehicle be sure to look above you as well as on the ground if you are wanting to find those lions; as they are well known to be sleeping high in the trees at Lake Manyara. Departing at 7:00am you will enjoy a morning trying to spot your favorite animals before heading back to Moshi/Airport around 3pm.
